Description
Biotechnical trap for catching male plum codling moth. The special pheromone formulation and the green color of the trap do not attract beneficial insects and other moth species. Male plum codling moths are lured into the trap by the sexual pheromone and stick to the adhesive. This prevents the females from being fertilized and laying eggs, from which the harmful larvae of the plum codling moth can hatch. After 5 to 6 weeks, at the end of June or beginning of July, change the adhesive base and pheromone capsule to attract and catch the second generation of the pest. Remove the trap body after harvest or at the beginning of August and store it dry for use next year. Based on experience, a sufficient catch of the plum codling moth is achieved if one trap is used for 3 to 5 trees in the immediate area. Instructions for Use
Hang the trap at a breezy spot near the trees to be protected at head height from mid-May. Change the adhesive bases and pheromone capsules after 5 to 6 weeks. The pheromone is located on the outside of the capsule. It is invisible and odorless. Remove the trap body at the beginning of September and store it dry for use next year. Next year, you can equip the trap with the affordable refill kit.
Setting Up the Trap:
Open the bag with the pheromone capsules only when ready to use. Always use only one bait at a time.

Unfold the adhesive base, take the pheromone capsule from the aluminum bag, and place it in the middle of the adhesive base. Then slide the adhesive base into the trap, set up the other side flap and secure it.
Unfold the trap body. Set up one side flap and insert the tabs into the provided slots.
Attach the hanging wire to the trap and hang the completed trap.
