Info: Tasty, vitamin- and mineral-rich vegetable with tender, white, strong stems and curly, yellow-green leaves. Short development time (80 - 90 days from sowing to harvest). Very high yield. The stems can be cooked or steamed like asparagus, the leaves like spinach. Short cooking time.

Care: Sow 2 - 3 cm deep in rows with 40 cm spacing, cover with soil and keep moist. Thin out strong seedlings to 25 cm spacing. Prefers sunny to semi-shaded location and humus-rich, deeply loosened garden soil, sandy and heavy soils are unsuitable. Regular water and nitrogen applications promote development.

Tip: Always harvest the outer leaves first so that the inner ones can develop.
