Reducing nipple made of stainless steel with male threads on both sides in different diameters. To seal the thread, you additionally need a suitable thread sealing material. Hemp or Teflon tape is suitable here. The thread is the common Whitworth pipe thread used in water technology. The male threads are tapered.

The threads are sealed with a suitable thread sealing material such as PTFE thread sealing tape or thread sealing hemp.

Drinking Water Suitability:
 

Stainless steel fittings made of AISI 316 stainless steel are listed in the UBA list (UBA = Federal Environment Agency) for drinking water suitable materials in drinking water installation and can therefore be used for drinking water supply.
