Info: The cylindrical fruits are enormously large and heavy. This cucumber is characterized by a thin skin and a high proportion of white, juicy flesh with relatively small seed cavities. The plants grow vigorously and set fruit easily. Smaller fruits can also be used for salads and stewing. The large fruits are ideal for peeling and dicing. Pickled sweet and sour, they are a refreshing delicacy.
Care: Sow 2 - 3 seeds per spot in open ground with a spacing of 150 x 30 cm. Cucumbers need a sunny, wind-protected place and humus-rich, well-fertilized soil.
Tip: Covering the beds with black mulch foil has proven to be very effective. It keeps the soil weed-free, collects warmth, accelerates growth, and significantly increases the yield.
