Info: Proven and robust pickling cucumber for outdoor cultivation with dark green, cylindrical fruits and firm flesh. The grape-like fruit set gives this well-known variety its name. Harvest at 8 - 15 cm in length. Suitable for fresh consumption and preservation.

Care: Sow 2 - 3 cm deep, spacing 30 cm apart with 2 - 3 seeds, row spacing 1 m. Press seeds, cover, and keep moist. Thin out later. Difficult to transplant. Prefer warm, sunny, sheltered locations and loose, humus-rich, well-fertilized soil. Avoid temperatures below 10°C.

Tip: Easy to pre-grow in pots. Use compost as fertilizer and 'soil heating'. Regular picking (every 4 - 7 days) increases the harvest amount.

Sowing: Mid-May - June outdoors

Germination: 6 - 14 days at 15 - 25°C

Harvest: July – September
