Info: Annual. A white-filled marigold whose round blooms resemble snowballs. Among the Tagetes varieties, the white flower color is quite rare and therefore an enrichment. The variety is sturdy, vigorous and suitable for cutting. Height 50 cm.
Care: Cultivation takes place in a warm (greenhouse/windowsill), sowing is done shallowly (0.5 - 1 cm) in pots/trays. When the seedlings have 2 true leaf pairs, they are transplanted into pots (pricked out). From mid-May (frost-free), the plants can be moved outdoors, prior to this, acclimate them to outdoor temperatures (harden off). Sowing can also be done directly outdoors from mid-May, in pots/trays. Keep temperatures and moisture consistent. Use sowing soil! Planting distance 30x30 cm.
Use: Particularly suitable for planting in groups in borders and containers, as well as for cut flowers and drying.
Gardener's tip: Tagetes are effective against nematodes (root pests), therefore planting near shrubs like roses is recommended. Prefers normal, well-drained garden soil.
