Info: Annual. This attractive, very lush climbing plant blooms in mid-summer and covers itself with new, pretty bell-shaped flowers in purple and white until frost. Height: approx. 4 m.

Care: Pre-cultivation is done in warm conditions (greenhouse/ windowsill), sowing 2 - 3 seeds per pot, about 1 - 2 cm deep. Keep temperatures and humidity constant. Use seed compost! The young plants can be moved to the open ground from mid-May (frost-free), previously slowly acclimate to outdoor temperatures (harden off). Cup and saucer vines prefer light, well-drained soil.

Use: These beautiful plants have interesting foliage and even more decorative flowers. They effortlessly climb rose arches, arbors, walls, and pavilions, enveloping them in a romantic way.

Gardener's tip: Under optimal conditions, the shoots can easily reach up to 4 meters in height. On the balcony, they can be easily shaped as desired by cutting back. Late fertilization delays blooming and produces too much foliage. Be sure to provide a climbing aid at a height of 8 - 10 cm.

Sowing: Pre-cultivation: Late February - May

Germination: 14 - 20 days at 18 - 22°C

Location: Sunny

Bloom: June until frost
