Info: "Black Cherry" is a true-breeding cherry tomato that develops ripe violet-red almost black appearing fruits. It is sweet and very aromatic, crack-resistant, early-bearing, and forms very productive long clusters. The fruits (approx. 15 - 25 g) sit up to 12 pieces on a cluster and ripen one after the other. "Black Cherry" requires a plant stake.

Care: Sow in a warm place (greenhouse/windowsill), approx. 0.5 - 1 cm deep. When the young plants have 4 leaves, prick them out into pots. Keep the sowing consistently warm and moist. Use sowing soil! From mid-May (frost-free) plant outdoors, first acclimate young plants to outside temperatures. Plant spacing 60 x 80 cm. Side shoots must be broken out (pinching out). Water and fertilize regularly. Provide support immediately after planting.

Use: The sugar-sweet dark fruits are a delight for the hobby gardener, universally applicable, e.g., in salads, for garnishing, or for snacking.

Gardener's tip: To avoid disease transmission, do not plant tomatoes next to potatoes. Sink a clay pot into the ground next to each tomato plant, which is advantageous for watering.
