Info: Demetra is a high-yield hybrid with long mild sweet fruits perfect for greenhouse and outdoor cultivation. This pepper is vigorous, sturdy, and less disease-prone. The fruits mature from dark green to red and are very crunchy due to their thick walls.
Care: Pre-cultivation is carried out in a warm place (greenhouse/windowsill), sow about 1 cm deep. The seed containers must be kept light, and the temperatures must remain constant. Keep evenly moist. Prick out (plant into pots) about 2 - 3 weeks after germination. Plant outdoors at the end of May (frost-free), harden off beforehand or acclimate to outdoor temperatures. Use sowing soil! Plant spacing 50x50 cm.
Use: Suitable for fresh consumption, preserving, stuffing/frying.
Gardener's tip: Planting on mulch film advances the yield! Add long-term fertilizer to the soil when planting and supplement as needed with liquid fertilizer. Cultivation in cold frames or greenhouses is also possible.
Sowing: Pre-culture: February - April; Direct sowing: mid-May
Germination: 18 - 20 days at 20 - 25°C soil temperature
Location: Sunny and sheltered location
Harvest: From July - October
